Childbirth Education

My private childbirth education classes provide expectant parents with information and techniques, which will promote a healthy pregnancy, a fulfilling birth experience, and confident parenting of the newborn.

All of my classes are private and take place in the comfort of my students’ home.  Every class is individually customized based on your educational needs.  Whether you are you are planning on a natural birth and want to focus on coping skills and techniques or you’re second time parents looking for a refresher course, I will adjust the course curriculum to help you feel prepared.

My four to five hour childbirth education class consists of the following:

·    What to Expect During Labor & Delivery
·    Coping Skills & Techniques
·    What to Expect at the Hospital, Birth Center or at a Home Birth
·    The Coach's Role (and who exactly is the coach?)
·    Pain Medication
·    Birth Plan Preparation
·    Basic Breastfeeding
·    Basic Infant Care

My two-hour infant care class consists of the following:

·    What to Expect From Your Newborn
·    Basic Breastfeeding & Bottle Feeding
·    Diapering
·    Bathing
·    Stuff you Need
·    When to Call the Doctor
