About Me

Hi!  My name is Jen Camomile.  I'm a DONA certified birth doula.  I began my journey as a birth doula during my second pregnancy.  My first child was born in a traditional hospital birth setting.  The experience was good a good one; however I knew I wanted something different for my second birth.  While researching options for my own homebirth during my second pregnancy, I learned about doulas and the support and guidance they provide to women and their partners during labor and childbirth.  I decided then and there to begin the certification process with DONA as a birth doula.  I actually attended my first two births as a doula during my third trimester!

Having had two very different birth experiences, I believe, enhances my ability to relate to laboring women and their partners.  It also gives me a wonderful perspective on what to expect and how I can best meet the needs of my clients.

I support women in hospital, home and birth center settings throughout Ventura County and the San Fernando Valley.

I also offer private childbirth education classes at very reasonable rates!
